Luca do not fret: -D .... a similar result (even better ;-)) to get this with the studio lights.
The gray color right is pure shadow; there is no intervention in PP.
The subject was also lit from underneath and there were panels of plexiglass to act as shielding the light.
The photo was made with the help of this equipment during a work shop of still life advertising.
