con Sigma 2x TC-2001, 1/320 f/6.3, ISO 1600, hand held. Pipeline Road, Panama. Specie: Querula purpurata

Another rare bird to see even in Panama. We only saw this one while we were there. Apart from the light you can see on parts of the body and tail the bird was covered in shadows. High ISO for a D7100 at ISO1600. Lots of shadow recovery and lots or noise reduction to make the shot presentable. Shot from about 20 meters distance at 600mm and photo cropped to remove as many unwanted elements as possible.
