Tutti cerchiamo la luce migliore agli estremi della giornata o addirittura la notte, e quando la luce è tagliente, fredda e dura causa il sole a picco? Se il panorama si presta il polarizzatore enfatizza la scena ma, in altri contesti ci si può divertire con un semplice filtro IR (per questa foto ho usato un IR a 720nm della Lee). Non tutti i sensori si prestano a questo tipo di foto: i Canon filtrano molto la gamma IR (ho testato la 5DII e la 7D con poca soddisfazione), meglio i vecchi Nikon, la D700 per questo genere è molto valida. Come per il sensore anche l'obiettivo deve essere compatibile in quanto alcuni producono un evidente flare chiaro al centro, meglio i fissi o gli zoom non troppo spinti. Importante chiudere sempre l'oculare per evitare che si infiltrino luci parassite dovute alle lunghe esposizioni. Per mia esperienza, in estate, l'ora migliore è quella col sole allo zenit, dalle 13 alle 14; di solito i risultati più spettacolari si ottengono orientando la reflex verso la zona del cielo che maggiormente si polarizza. Poi un pò di pazienza in PP e il gioco è fatto.
