, 1/500 f/5.6, ISO 400, hand held. NgoroNgoro, Tanzania. Specie: Crocuta crocuta

NgoroNgoro Crater (Tanzania) - ore 08.30 circa. #Safari #Wild

It is impressive just to see this scene in the picture: the face of the hyena on the right is terrifying ...
Thanks for the story and congratulations for the shot, I look forward to more pictures (less raw wow!) Of your trip!

It is so dear Marco will be hard to forget what we have seen and heard ... the sound of bones that break under the powerful bite of the hyenas, the references and the "screams" of the flocks coming ..... As first day too bad:-D
A safari beautiful, thanks to your company ....

Greetings and congratulations for your photos

Big Mark!
Start with a bang.
I like a lot, you could freeze perfectly the drama of the moment.
Great detail and light management.

Thanks Alberto, Cristina, and Max Alexander for your comments, really appreciated!
I wanted to start the gallery on Tanzania with an image of this incredible event of the first day of which we have spoken to all the safari so we had hit ... wow!
Cristina promise that the next image will be (almost) all much less bloody ...:-D ... I'm selecting some shots with the magnificent African light of sunrise and sunset :-) :-)
see you soon, Mark

PS when it starts??

This kind of pictures always make me a little sense, even the birds of prey Mentra tear away the flesh of the prey or meat that put to lure them to the huts, but recognize that it is actually a limit my emotional level photographic shots are definitely presiosi, like this to your hyena, jackal and looks (it's a jackal?) behind which waits his turn!
Greetings Marco.

Hello Antonio, I agree with your thinking ... I'm not read images but they are actual documents of what happens every day in the bush ... where there is a constant struggle for survival in which everyone has a role, played as the Nature has provided! Thank you for your passage! You said well, it is a "jackal" ... there were 3 or 4 around there that - with insistence and even a moderate success - tried to take home their share of the booty ;-)

Marco great start!!
I am convinced that you will not forget what you have experienced and how a brazier warms the desire to return a thousand times. They are indescribable emotions that I never dreamed of living.
I was waiting to see your pictures and this seems to me a valid reason to stay tuned to your page .....
Compliments of the Heart.
