Alla ricerca di nuove tecniche fotografiche (per me), vi propongo questo scatto, realizzato poco prima che le ombre di fine pomeriggio sopraggiungessero. Commenti e critiche molto graditi...

Hello David! :-)
In general I think this is one successful shot though .... I think the positioning of the components inside the bud is a bit 'too "flat", ie that being so parallel to the main subject, is not the choice best. Personally I would look for a composition that maybe inclinasse up the little flower is not blossomed.
Clear that this is just my taste! ;-)
Also I would try a "total black" or deleting the evidence of the stem to the left and bringing out only the flowers from the black background.
Congratulations and a greeting!
Michela

@ David: a great pleasure to see you again:-P!
@ Gianmarco: I thank you for the praise, I'm glad you enjoyed the photo!
@ Michelle: I am experiencing, but this shot, along with another couple that I still have the cassette does not entirely satisfy me. Unfortunately, I would get a less confused. You're absolutely right sull'invasività the stem, but in PP can not do better. As for the PDR, and I did not think this means I have to look better, imagine more during shooting. Besides, who has greater sensitivity of these shots you see. I must try to figure out how to do (how do) and from there, try it. They say that life expectancy is over 80 years ... :-D.
A dear greetings to all!

I think you're on the "good way" and, as you say at the bottom too, experimentation just serves to refine our expressive abilities. I am also a beginner who experiences ;-) But I can tell you that the careful observation of the subject being pre-shooting helps a lot to imagine and then create the composition.
To eliminate extraneous details from the dark background also tries to underexpose during shooting and then ... there is always the PP that comes to the rescue.
I await your other beautiful photos! :-)

Underexposed was done alas that part of the stem was in the spotlight of the sun:-D ... For the rest of you soon and thanks for the advice ... :-D

Very beautiful nuances and "see" not "see" that is trying to emerge from the black background.

As I said, this is a composition I have to work, I sense that I am not totally happy with the result. The theme of light shadow is fascinating and I will work more in the future. Glad you put the focus right there. Thank you for your comments very articulate and an object of reflection.

The black background I like it very much.

Thanks Max of passage! I added that moisture with a sprayer that is visible, the rest is a matter of exposure, and a little 'PPper darken green ...

This I really like. A person rich in detail stands out against the black background that does not disturb in any way the flower design. The bud gives a sense of negative space on the right. Bravo.
