Avifauna Messicana: Golden-fronted Woodpecker (Malanerpes Aurifrons). Crop.

Did you get really lucky to have him in view from the room and I'm glad you have added to the first, more pictures.
I'm fascinated by this series on your Mexico not only for photos, but for the detailed and interesting explanations that accompany them. There have been years ago, and through you I can relive those moments and enrich them because you have seen places where I have not been.

:-D:-D:-D
How you made me laugh David!
I've discovered! I stuck the Trudini tree ;-); certain that having this "large handle" could also get closer and better not take them back?
Seriously, I had great fun taking Mexican avifauna even if the goal (combined with my inexperience like that) I was not allowed to optimal performance.
My favorite shot is the one made in this Oriole Yucatec, sympathetic real name? :-)

Looking at the expression of the bird I have three questions popped into my mind: and '"shy", "curious" or perhaps more' probably if he was hungry "impatiently" waiting for? :-D
Whatever the nature and 'beautiful in its simplicity'.
Beautiful capture for a certain subject is not "usual" further embellished by the other shots documenting the "parents" who look after ;-).
Hello Michela.

Hello dear Claudio!
I assure you that the baby had fameeee! :-D
He scanned the time the parents return and it was fortunate for me so I could photograph it ;-)
Nature is really beautiful and offers many emotions and for me it was really exciting to witness this scene. :-)
Grazieeee! :-P:-P:-P
Best wishes and happy Sunday!
Michela
