Hello Michael, I absolutely agree with you about the need to break down social stereotypes. I live, in fact, in an area commonly associated with the "rubbish", the "Camorra" and all '"inopia," but I can guarantee that not all the South is contaminated by the aforementioned evils. My area is a paradise on earth and if people do not work just because the work is not there :-(. Certainly evil are real, but the "dumps" social and moral issues are everywhere: our task is to stay clean !
Thank you for your beautiful photos and also for the beautiful story that accompanies it.

Best wishes,

Adolfo

Nice this shot that shows one of the many activities' of the people of Chiapas, which continue, and thank goodness, to carry on their traditions such as embroidery and painting joy for tourists and gain for them, without intermediaries.
I agree with what 'you said in the caption.
You know when I was a girl, and I came from Sardinia to the Continent, as it was once, we lacked a little that I was considered a bandit and I do not know how much I hurt.
Best wishes
Lully

Hello dear friend!
The handicrafts are certainly a source of livelihood for the people of Chiapas (but not only) and, as you say, also contribute to ensuring that the traditions will not be lost.
I'm glad you've shared the contents of my caption as well as having enjoyed the photos ;-)
Thank you very much dear Lully!

Hello mate soul, dear friend! :-)
These are the moments that I adore resume and tell yourself that the "journey", beyond the beautiful scenery. They are the moments that allow us to "enter" the usages, customs, precisely in everyday life almost on tiptoe, without bothering to tell ...

How true what you say!
When I'm lucky to make trips like this that give me the opportunity to come into contact with reality other than my own I always try something that goes beyond the superficiality of even beautiful places I visit, I seek contact with people and often find it.
Many great memories from my travels that I report are related to even these brief encounters with people.
Thank you very much foryour beautiful and intelligent words. :-P
I embrace with great affection and friendship as much.
Your "twin"

The dish on the chair ... the girl lying on the floor blue ... :-)
That 's what I expected to find in your shots ;-)
A sense of naturalness and spontaneity that I believe we live in the world "advanced" we have lost along with so much warmth and color ;-)
When I travel the "shards" enamel are the thing that attracts me the most and I think at this store I would have left a piece of me ;-)
