Oggi, dopo un'ora di cammino attraverso il bosco dell'Appennino pratese in cerca di cervi in bramito ho raggiunto un punto impervio. Lì ho avvisato prima il meraviglioso palco di un cervo, poi l'intero animale, sdraiato sull'erba. Cosi mi sono seduto anche io, aspettando con pazienza che finisse il suo riposino e si alzasse. Dopo quasi tre ore, all'ora tramonto, il cervo si è alzato ed ha iniziato ad emettere il suo potente e bellissimo bramito. In quel momento mi è sembrato un maestoso re del bosco. Spero di incontrarti ancora il prossimo anno, come ospite che osserva in punta di piedi, nella tua dimora.
