Sono entrato in Polonia attraverso questo ponte che la separa dalla Germania; Il ponte è situato sul fiume Nysa Łuzycka; questo fiume divide in due una città (Guben), la quale, prima della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, apparteneva interamente alla Germania; dopo la Guerra, ma soprattutto dopo gli Accordi di Yalta, i confini della Polonia vennero ridisegnati e, dalla parte ovest acquisì molti territori della Germania. Questo fiume venne, in parte, utilizzato come confine naturale ma per sfortuna tagliava in due la città di Guben la quale si ritrova, oggi, ad essere per metà polacca e per metà tedesca; la parte tedesca ha conservato il nome di Guben; quella polacca si chiama Gubin; pertanto, la foto è stata scattata in Polonia, dall'altra parte del ponte siamo in Germania.
