Un'artigiana che lavora i bastoncini di incenso: mischiando in giusta proporzione: polvere lignea, polvere di petali e fiori essicati, carboncino (che facilita lal combustione) e resina che funge da agente legante per il composto. La miscela ottenuta viene mescolata ad acqua per ottenere una consistenza che sia contemporaneamente flessibile e compatta; quindi viene arrotolata intorno a sottili frammenti di bambù così da ottenere la forma caratteristica del bastoncino.
