Dal sito del Museo della Scienza di Milano: "Questo è un pezzetto della Goodwill Rock raccolta nel 1972 dagli astronauti dell'Apollo 17, l'ultima missione umana sulla Luna. È una piccola pietra dal valore inestimabile, forse la testimonianza più importante del desiderio di esplorazione dell'umanità e della sfida scientifica e tecnologica. È stata donata nel 1973 dal Presidente americano Richard Nixon alla Presidenza della Repubblica e quindi consegnata al Museo per essere custodita. Studiandola gli scienziati hanno potuto formulare ipotesi sull'origine e natura della Luna e aprire una finestra sui primi istanti di vita del Sistema Solare." Aggiungo: Talvolta un viaggio stupisce anche il più arido dei cuori. Pezzi di pianeta di sono staccati in occasione di un litigio cosmico dalla potenza epica.
