Cometa C/2022 E3 (ZTF) Scoperta il 2 Marzo 2022 e viene soprannominata "Cometa di Neanderthal". Ha un periodo orbitale di 50000 anni, l'ultima volta che si è avvicinata alla Terra, dunque, è stato nel paleolitico: periodo dominato dall'Uomo di Neanderthal. Ecco dunque spiegato il suo soprannome. Il primo Febbraio 2023 ha raggiunto la minima distanza dalla Terra. Chiaramanete il primo febbraio la mia montatura non voleva saperne di guidare correttamente. Mio malgrado, ho scattato da un cielo abbastanza inquinato, quindi molti dettagli non sono ben visibili. Sono però visibili la chioma, di colore verde e la coda, formata da polveri, di colore giallastro, e gas ionizzati, di colore ciano-grigio. È la prima volta che fotografo una cometa e le difficoltà non sono state poche. Fortunatamente ho una montatura go-to, che mi ha permesso di centrare velocemente il soggetto. Per l'elaborazione ho utilizzato Pixinsight, elaborando una foto allineata sulle stelle e una allineata sulla cometa. Ho quindi lavorato sulla foto della cometa, previa eliminazione delle stelle. Ho quindi lavorato separatamente le stelle della foto allineata sulle stelle. Alla fine, alla foto della cometa ho aggiunto le stelle prelevate dall'altra foto. Ammetto che la postproduzione è stata massiva. Probabilmente ci tornero su, per tirar fuori ancora un po' la coda.
