@ Paolo: ti ringrazio molto per quello che hai scritto, bellissime parole ma soprattutto hai colto molto bene un aspetto che mi sta facendo riflettere, soprattutto in questo periodo. Mi sto rendendo conto che ci stiamo concentrando molto su quello che è, come hai detto bene tu, il protagonista di una foto, realizzando tantissime foto tecnicamente perfette o quasi, perseguendo una qualità d'immagine sempre più quasi esasperata per poi ottenere tante immagini concettualmente molto "simili" di soggetti diversi... Io vedo la fotografia principalmente come una forma d'arte e trovo che in certe situazioni una foto ambientata possa essere decisamente più forte di un classico primo piano. Mi è capitato più volte di ammirare le mostre fotografiche di Stefano Unterthiner, posseggo diversi suoi libri e spesso mi soffermo ad osservare le sue foto ambientate trovandole particolarmente interessanti e a volte geniali rispetto ai più classici e "scontati" ritratti. |

Purtroppo Nic queste sono le aberrazioni, o quantomeno le esagerazioni cui ci ha condotti la tecnologia digitale.
Trent'anni fa la fotografia naturalistica si faceva con pellicole di 50, 64 o massimo 100 asa; gli animali, a causa della scarsa attenzione rivolta a loro e all'ambiente, erano molto più diffidenti di oggi e quindi i fotografi chiedevano tele sempre più grandi, pesanti e luminosi pur di riuscire a fare una cosa molto difficile per l'epoca: un ritratto a figura intera (i ritratti stretti erano esclusi a priori) di un animale... quale esso fosse.
La conseguente necessità di tempi di posa brevi si scontrava da un lato con la ben scarsa sensibilità delle emulsioni di allora, e dall'altra con la molto maggiore diffidenza dei soggetti che obbligava i fotografi a ricorrere a veri e propri virtuosismi fotografici per farsi bastare tempi di posa di 1/250 o - al massimo - 1/500 di secondo, e quindi si accettavano, senza fare troppe storie, compromessi come il panning unito alla rinuncia aprioristica del congelamento assoluto di un qualsiasi movimento... anche quello non particolarmente veloce
Questo creava degli effetti che, se ben sfruttati, regalavano una sensazione di dinamismo alle scene che è sconosciuta al giorno d'oggi, una sensazione di dinamismo poi che tra le altre cose era ulteriormente enfatizzata proprio da tante inquadrature "ampie" che ora invece non esistono più, anche dal punto di vista concettuale, proprio perché annullate dalle tante facilitazioni indotte proprio dalla tecnologia digitale. |
