A solar disk... textbook! sent on March 10, 2022 (10:17) by Daniele Bonfiglio. 52 comments, 4944 views.  [editors pick] [retina]

1/100 f/16.0, ISO 400, tripod. Montagnana, Italy.

Congratulations!
I know practically nothing about astrophotography, I wanted to try to take some shots with the Lunt LS50THa and the X-e4, it comforts me to know that it is possible. So as hardware I should be there...

Spectacular as your usual... and thanks to your description I discovered the existence of different solar phenomena of which I had never even heard of, thank you! :-)

Hello wedge, figure it's a pleasure!
Look, if you want I share below the manual of my solar telescope, where there are also a couple of pages with a concise description of the phenomena that can be seen on the Sun in H-alpha!

Edecapitani, Axl and Giancarlo, thank you very much!
I must say that an important aspect that has allowed this improvement is the reduction of noise made possible by the stack of a large number of frames. I put here the link to a video I created to prove this thing.

I agree on the effectiveness of stacking many frames.
It allows miracles.

Hello Coolshot,
usually (as here) I use the famous Autostakkert!3 or PlanetarySystemStacker github.com/Rolf-Hempel/PlanetarySystemStacker

I do not understand a sledgehammer of astrophotography, but I find this shot (and the others) really excellent, in the knowledge that it also takes a great job and adequate preparation to get superlative photos ... solar ;-) like this :-)
congratulations! (even if it is little)
Carlo

Dear Fabio, too good thank you very much!

the amazing work you're doing deserves, this one is also from EP. I would write in the caption of the gallery some technical information on the shooting in h-alpha for the benefit of all those who want not only to enjoy these exceptional shots but also to understand a little better all the work of preparation-acquisition-processing. which leads to such a spectacle. Greetings

Serafino, Carlo and again Fabio, thank you very much! In fact I have to admit that I almost regret having already had the EP for the other photo, because this one is undoubtedly technically superior. Fabio, I did not know you could add a caption to the gallery, I will definitely do it thanks for the suggestion! Good evening, Daniel
