Uno degli aspetti più importanti della mia fotografia è da diverso tempo la ricerca. Il fatto di scoprire luoghi sconosciuti ai più mi ha sempre affascinato e dato benzina alla mia passione per la natura, che cresce ogni giorno di più. Questo aspetto però nasce soprattutto da un forte bisogno di immedesimarmi in una situazione al di fuori della normalità di tutti i giorni, e vivere in un mondo completamente mio. L'Islanda è sicuramente uno di quei paesaggi che considero "casa" rispetto a tanti altri, proprio perché ogni cosa mi trasmette sensazioni che mi portano al di fuori della realtà. Ogni paesaggio, fiume, cascata, persino il vento incredibile e la pioggia incessante mi emozionano a tal punto che poi le foto vengono da sole. Anche nei momenti più inaspettati. Questo posto in particolare, per un intero giorno ha racchiuso tutti questi aspetti: ero così estasiato da tutto l'ambiente intorno a me che la sensazione che ho avuto per tutti il tempo in cui mi sono trovato lì è stata: "Non sono in un posto comune, sono al di fuori del tempo e dello spazio, sono nella terra degli dei."
