I find it very beautiful ... beautiful colors, Betelgeuse with its deep red .. great clarity with the effect of stars, M42 very obvious

even if it seems a little too much noise to be at 800 iso ..

Thanks Julian! You know you're right about the noise? I went to review the original photo and all the noise is not there ... I must have done something wrong when I resized for the web.

If you want to put the ;-)

Great nice shot Stephen! if I'm not mistaken you used the AstroTrac above, did you notice differences?
Greetings

Henry

Hello Henry, I've never used the AstroTrac but I've seen it work. Beautiful as astroinseguitore but I think the last exit more convenient for trips to the mountains or on the plane.

The ioptron startracker I've taken is the one that costs less and is well done. All alloy and the only plastic part and the cover of the battery compartment. The price, then, is also included in the cannocchale polar light for a good parking in polar ;-) And-finally-is so small that it goes in the bag with the objectives and the body macchna

thank you very much for the information Stefano ;) I do not know why but I was convinced I used it :-| I'm doing a little thought, as I would start to make long shots and saw that my eq6 has been removed for years collecting dust! congratulations again for this and other shots!

Greetings

Interesting'm ioptron, not even a month or so and I find so many good news ... for the photo ... I prefer the cool :-)
Salutoni Stè ;-)

Ps I used the astrtrac, super-compact device but with a limit of two hours between fire and must be reset after shooting ... and recompose the shot ... now to use a short focal eq3 with Syscan, more cumbersome but autoguidandola holding sessions for 4/5 hours without intrvento ...

Congratulations for the shot, then the filter Starspikes by a touch of class.

How does the astroinseguitore of Ioptron? I was watching it yesterday, and I was indesiso whether to make the purchase.
You who have a EQ5 also if I'm not mistaken to do astrophotography base machine and only objective is best one of these or a eq3?

Thank you all!

The ioptron I have yet to fully test but promising. Until now I have tried to put 5 and 8 minutes and has held up very well. The photo did not place because they were made at 30 km from Rome and seem to be made in broad daylight. The stars are cmq point but I would like to try it with longer focal lengths (85 and 135mm)

The frames are definitely more precise eq (not all) but they are not carried as a astroinseguitore. Equation 3 with goto and st4 port for autoguiding (such as helium) are definitely a middle ground for lightweight and allow you to do sessions of hours in peace.

The convenience dell'astroiseguitore type ioptron or vixen polarie is the extreme portability that allows you to take them anywhere they go with 4 batteries stilor.

Excellent use of SS you used wisely.

Personally I really like. I do not mind the veils ... perhaps a hint of red would no longer be spoiled (the M42 you can see a little blue). In any case a little reduction in noise would be most helpful maybe masked with the inverse of the channel just blurred brightness of some pixels ... or some other step to mediate the noise.

Hello Stephen,
congratulations for the photo ... really very nice. I wanted to ask a question because I also bought the astroinseguitore the iOptron (not tested yet due to flu). Positions where the North Star homonymous viewfinder? On the road and on the website of iOptron say, or download the app on the iPhone (which I have) or put the pole in the center of the reticle. What do you do?
Greetings and proxima,
David
