Ho da poco cominciato a studiare un po' di teoria della composizione ed un pomeriggio mi sono trovata nelle vicinanze del lago di Castel Gandolfo, accompagnata dalla mia macchina fotografica, così ho deciso di spendere un po' di tempo alla ricerca di qualcosa che fosse in grado di farmi mettere in pratica ciò che stavo studiando nei libri. Questa scena faceva al mio caso: le boe, in fila indiana, seguono una direzione, mentre la barca ancorata continuava a ruotare in balia del vento. Il momento opportuno per scattare era, a mio avviso, quello che permettesse alle due direzioni, segnalate dagli elementi, di divergere e guidare lo sguardo verso la vastità del paesaggio.
