La Ferrari California vide la luce nel 2008 e fu costruita in oltre 8000 esemplari fino al 2014. E' la prima vettura del Cavallino con una carrozzeria coupé/cabriolet. Era dotata di un motore a V di 90° di 4286 cm3, posizionato anteriormente, che erogando 460 cavalli portava la vettura a raggiungere i 310 chilometri orari di velocità massima. Tale propulsore, nel 2012, venne aggiornato erogando così 490 cavalli che resero la vettura più performante e leggermente pure più veloce.
