varietà di castagne Fusère. Antica varietà piemontese quasi scomparsa. Pezzatura media, dimensione regolare gusto eccellente. Fantastiche per le caldarroste. Si diffonde la pessima abitudine di sostituire le varietà locali con Marroni di origine giapponese assolutamente inferiori come gusto e possibilità di utilizzo.

It spreads the bad habit of replacing local varieties with Browns of Japanese origin absolutely inferior as taste and possibility of use

Even in these little things we want to stand out.....of course for the worse.
Beautiful collection.

Thank you Pigi47. I'm trying to reverse the trend by grafting the sift into the wild, and these are the first results from an eight-year graft. but the chestnut graft (which I do to split) is not easy (success about 20%). However, the fault lies with the people who when they go to the nurseries look for "big chestnuts" and then in the end they find only browns (which are not even chestnuts). Fortunately, at least, the parasites that were destroying the trees were well fought with an antagonistic insect and the chestnut trees are recovering.
