Attività del 18.05.2016. Una giornata che ricordo sempre con tanto piacere e che mi ha regalto davvero belle emozioni. Stavo monitorando da tempo l'attività del vulcano, ma non si è mai certi del momento esatto di quando farà un'attività, un parossismo. In quella circostanza decisi di tagliare la testa al toro e di salire comunque. Appena giunto nel luogo prescelto per l'osservazione magicamente iniziò un'attività esplosiva che man mano si intensificò sempre più; una coincidenza a livello di tempismo che si verifica davvero poche volte, a meno di non piantare le tende. Dal Cratere di Nord-Est si alzarono nubi di vapore e cenere. In questa foto si vede proprio la colonna di gas che avvolge e cela completamente il Nord-est e la cenere che in parte ricade sul Cratere di Sud-Est. Ero quasi in linea con la nube ed essere sovrastato da essa faceva un certo effetto, anche per via della strana 'pioggia' di cenere che mi ha raggiunto.
