Sono consapevole che i cinghiali fotograficamente non hanno mai avuto grande successo, volevo comunque condividere quanto successo oggi durante un appostamento ai lupi, nel Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo. Un branco di cinghiali, probabilmente più di 100, è uscito dal bosco a grandissima velocità attraversando tutta la piana e venendo dritto nella mia direzione senza accorgersi della mia presenza. Non avevo nè capanni, nè rete mimetica; solo abbigliamento camouflage e passamontagna, tra le foglie di un albero. Ho aspettato che girassero invano, ho dovuto allargare le braccia quando i primi capofila erano a pochissimi metri, forse 4, per far deviare repentinamente tutto il gruppo. Fotografo spesso orsi in natura in Croazia e non ho mai avuto questa scarica di adrenalina e paura.
