La sezione aurea o numero aureo o proporzione divina, non è altro che un numero, per la precisione 1,618033, scoperto dal matematico Leonardo Fibonacci intorno al 1200. Esempi ne possiamo trovare nel mondo botanico, dove i fiori e le foglie presentano una disposizione geometrica che rispecchia la spirale aurea, come avviene nel girasole, oppure nel mondo animale, dove la conchiglia della specie Nautilus sembra cresciuta seguendo proprio la spirale aurea, fino ad arrivare all'universo: la nostra galassia si sviluppa in estensione come la spirale aurea. È proprio il caso di dire quanto la magia della natura sia spettacolare.
