Il nuovo ponte pedonale Tahon di Revel ridisegna parte del lungo mare della Spezia proseguendo la passeggiata a mare Morin fino al Porto Turistico Mirabello: il ponte è stato ideato come naturale prosecuzione dell'importante asse urbano pedonale che costituisce la spina dorsale del centro storico (Via del Prione-Via Diaz). L'intuizione di proseguire quest'asse urbano è stata particolarmente apprezzata dalla popolazione che, una volta terminata l'opera, ha iniziato a frequentare intensamente un'area della città fino ad allora considerata marginale, eleggendola a protagonista delle proprie passeggiate. L'aspetto del ponte nasce da un'attenta analisi del contesto ed omaggia la tradizione marinara locale pur nel rispetto dei vincoli e delle richieste poste dalla Committenza(Autorità Portuale della Spezia)
