????Ghibli è il “nickname” attribuito negli anni novanta all'AMX (nomenclatura aeronautica A-11B), un aereo monomotore da attacco e ricognizione, disponibile anche nella versione biposto da addestramento avanzato (AMX-T). L'AMX-T (nomenclatura aeronautica TA-11B) è soprattutto velivolo da addestramento e OCU (Operational Conversion Unit), ma ha anche capacità operative assimilabili a quelle del monoposto. Il Ghibli è in grado di svolgere missioni di supporto ravvicinato, ricognizione tattica ed aerocooperazione con le forze di superficie (terrestri e navali). Il velivolo è dotato di un impianto per il rifornimento in volo e, grazie al sistema avionico in dotazione, è in grado di svolgere missioni ognitempo. Per accrescere le potenzialità d'impiego della flotta, a favore della linea AMX sono stati sviluppati specifici programmi addestrativi per operare con l'ausilio di visori notturni ed è stato completato un programma di ammodernamento ACOL (Aggiornamento Capacità Operative e Logistiche) volto, tra l'altro, a dotare il Ghibli di munizionamento più moderno, preciso e avanzato.
