Archi di Pasqua - San Biagio Platani (Agrigento) - La tradizione degli Archi di Pasqua risale alla seconda metà del seicento. A questa tradizione che nasce dal culto della Madonna e del Cristo si deve la nascita di due confraternite, "Madunnara" e "Signurara" , che con passione rinnovano ogni anno la manifestazione. Gli Archi sono pronti la mattina di Pasqua e rimangono esposti per quattro-cinque settimane. Si tratta di installazioni artistiche di archi, cupole e campanili disposte lungo tutto il corso principale del paese; la preparazione richiede molti mesi, i materiali usati,offerti tutti dalla natura, sono le canne, il salice, l'asparago, l'alloro, i cereali, i legumi e soprattutto il pane, ognuno dei quali ha un ricco significato simbolico. Gli Archi di Pasqua vogliono rappresentare il trionfo di Cristo sulla morte e sotto di essi la Domenica mattina avviene l'incontro tra Gesù e la Madonna.
