A Helsingor sorge il castello di Kronborg, patrimonio dell'Unesco; viene ricordato soprattutto per le vicende di Amleto che Shakespeare volle ambientare proprio qui, restituendo alla storia questo luogo come il “Castello di Amleto”. Ma i danesi preferiscono raccontare di Holger Danske, il “loro” eroe la cui statua trova spazio negli atri bui delle “Casematte” del castello. La sua barba è lunghissima.
