Palazzo Baldeschi-Balleani Il palazzo, di proprietà della famiglia Baldeschi-Balleani, venne realizzato dal 1720 su disegno dell'architetto romano Francesco Ferruzzi. L'elegante facciata, dagli spigoli arrotondati, è caratterizzata da una balconata barocca con ringhiera in ferro battuto, sorretta da quattro possenti telamoni, realizzata dal ravennate Giovanni Toschini, autore anche della statua con Vergine e Bambino collocata nella nicchia al centro della facciata. Il piano nobile e i piani superiori ospitano sale dalle pregevoli pitture e stucchi dorati, eseguiti da diversi artisti. Il nome della famiglia deriva da quello originale dei Baligani insediatisi a Jesi verso la metà del sec. XII, che ebbero un ruolo politico di primo piano durante le continue guerre tra guelfi e ghibellini per il possesso della città. Tano Baligani di Filippuccio fu signore di Jesi dal 1320 al 1328, anno in cui venne decapitato proprio di fronte all'attuale palazzo.
