Anime dilaniate... Ho sistemato la macchina fotografica a terra, tra le foglie, al centro di ciò che rimane del castagno più antico della mia terra. Nessuno sa quanti anni, anzi secoli, potrà mai avere questa anima ormai morente... Purtroppo negli anni settanta ha subito ben due incendi, appiccati dai soliti ignoranti... il secondo gli è stato del tutto fatale ed ora, anno dopo anno, sta collassando inesorabilmente. Un giorno ho provato a misurare la circonferenza alla sua base: ben 11,30 metri. All'interno, già da decenni si è formato un antro dal diametro di 2 metri, dove stalattiti di legno marcescente e annerito decorano oramai da molto tempo questa anima dilaniata dalla solita incuria umana... Solamente dei giovani virgulti laterali, nati dopo l'ultimo incendio, fanno la guardia a questa opera unica della natura, aspettando che il corpo carbonizzato di loro padre si ricongiunga con la grande madre terra... Almeno in lei vivrà una nuova vita, alimentando la speranza e le radici di nuovi boschi... Diaframma f10, fusione di due immagini per la maf...
