Mentre per gran parte della permanenza del pulcino al nido, i serpenti vengono portati morti o fortemente tramortiti, l'ultima settimana le prede sono vive. Penso che tale strategia serva per abituare il pullo ad uccidere da se i serpenti e a prendere così dimestichezza con del cibo così sfuggente. Si assistono così a scene alquanto buffe dove i serpenti, nell'ultimo vano tentativo di sfuggire al predatore, si arrotolano e si annodano attorno al becco dei poveri genitori. Crop molto sostenuto con distanza del soggetto di oltre 70 - 80 mt.
