Grazie per aver commentato questo documento,anche per mè è stata una cosa insolita,mi è capitato di
vedere catture da parte di aironi di topi,rane,rospi,bisce d'acqua ma mai di una minilepre adulta (il peso di una minilepre varia dai 800grammi ai 1500/1600)
Il tutto si è svolto in un campo incolto dove l'airone si è appostato in ferma come i cani da caccia e a passi lentissimi si è avvicinato alla preda,(io ero li a circa 15 mt sulla strada in auto) con uno scatto fulmineo affonda il becco nelle sterpaglie e quando rialza la testa nel becco aveva la minilepre che si divincolava,la presa è stata precisa perche in poco tempo la malcapitata è deceduta per stangolamento.Più difficile per l'airone è stato ingoiare una preda di quelle dimensioni,a provato e riprovato per diversi minuti senza successo finchè con uno sforzo immane l'ha ingoiata.Sono riuscito a documentare questo fatto con diversi scatti,purtroppo a volte la legge della natura è dura ma bisogna accettarla così com' è. |
