Hello Thank you for passing on this image, a pseudo macro that does not belong to my usual kind of images, but by carefully observing the structure of this vegetable I noticed the look of infinite multiplication of the conical-pyramidal protrusions in a crescendo dimensional and this intrigued me and suggested the idea to photograph.
The only means available to me for a close distance shooting was the compact Canon G11 that all in all a macro option rather interesting, so stand and snap side ambient light from the window.
This is the result, it converted to bn to give greater prominence to the handwriting of the forms.
@ Matthew: Yes, after my wife has cooked and cooked and it was not bad!
Thanks again. Ivan

Hello Matthew, thank you very much for the compliment! It 's true, I am photogenic and never would have imagined for me usually to photograph landscapes, people and urban details: I accidentally dropped the eye there and I could not resist not to photograph !! ;-)
Good WE! Ivan

Nice shot, Ivan. Well done, balanced by the pleasant and harmonious lights. Great detail. I had never stopped watching this masterpiece of nature carefully. Thanks to you I fell in love and I will not miss to go as soon as possible by eating it (I do not risk the risk of bringing it home, so why should I eat it and ... let's say I would be sorry. It's too nice ;-))

Hi Gabbia65, I'm glad you've been focusing on these pictures of graphic design (like the one in the architectural structure): I'm often attracted to these situations by being a technical designer for professional training and I am glad that these subjects attract other photographers .
If you happen to see this vegetable photography, it's really interesting: I never did, but it was a real surprise.
In culinary terms when it is cooked it is better to have the ability to open doors and windows as the smell that emanates is not the best and someone might even think badly .... ;-) :-D :-)
A salutone. Ivan

Romanesque cabbage and photography go hand in hand because both are closely linked to the Fibonacci spiral.
The cabbage for the arrangement of its inflorescences, photography for all the discourse of composition, the golden ratio, the rule of thirds, etc.

You may already know it, but given the relevance I reproduce this video [URL =]

Nice picture ;-)

Hi Rikthenfrog, thank you very much for the passage and appreciation, especially for the inclusion of the interesting video I've never seen. I'm delighted to have this photo given way to a pill of interesting culture for me and I imagine for all those who will stop to see it.
Thanks really and cordially. Ivan

Beautiful this "picture of the cabbage" :-) :-)
In fact it has an interesting geometry enhanced by the B / N. Even the white frame is all there.
I read that you used ambient lighting and so I guess it's not a studio shot. How did you get the black background? If I had used a flash, I would have explained with a use of high speed shooting. But this is not the case....
Greetings.

Thanks Gerry and Sodium for the liking of this photo and appreciation. :-)
It was taken in ambient light on a tripod with the light coming from the window ... of the kitchen.
The cabbage I placed it on the table and on a black card so as to make that minimal background rather dark.
In post I selected these areas and darken with the fencing / burn brush lowering the brightness to maximum.
It 'been a shot performed in a "craft" that despite everything I did not succeed ;-).
Thanks again. Ivan
