L'elegante Piazza Innocenzo III è situata in posizione decentrata rispetto alla città, frequentata residenza estiva dei pontefici già dal XIII secolo, e conserva quasi intatto il suo aspetto medievale. È costeggiata dal fianco della duecentesca cattedrale: l'edificio mostra da questo lato la facciata sinistra, che rivela comunque maggiore fascino rispetto a quella principale con la sporgenza della cappella Caetani e la loggia porticata eretta da papa Bonifacio VIII. Uno stretto passaggio collega la piazza col sagrato della chiesa. Alla sinistra della Cattedrale possiamo ammirare altri edifici storici. Nella piccola area a lato delle absidi della Cattedrale, il Comune ha dedicato il Largo allo scultore anagnino Tommaso Gismondi. Dall'altro lato della Piazza, un belvedere permette di godere di uno stupendo panorama della Valle del Sacco e dei Monti Lepini.
