Incastonato fra le palazzine del quartiere della Zisa, in quella che viene chiamata la via delle cliniche c'è un piccolo gioiello liberty, il Villino Florio, che come rivela il nome fu costruito dalla famiglia di imprenditori di origine calabrese che si insediò in Sicilia alla fine del XIX secolo e l'inizio del nuovo e che diede una sferzata all'economia isolana attraverso il commercio, anche internazionale, di marsala, e di prodotti derivati dalla pesca del tonno. Il Villino andò quasi distrutto da un incendio nel 1962 ed è stato restaurato in maniera egregia dall'assessorato regionale ai Beni Culturali. E' possibile visitarlo.
