at 10mm, 1/15 f/13.0, ISO 400, hand held.

Dull and misty very early this morning (top of the cathedral spire lost in the mist) and so I took along my own portable 'sunshine', my big Sigma EF - 610 DG Super flashgun. This top Sigma 'gun is powerful, can be angled at almost anything and I wanted to try it out on the new D7100 camera. I used the diffuser to spread the light to try and fill the ultrawide angle and manually set it to balance daylight with the dark areas. I evened the exposure differences a lot later in Photoshop. A good way to tackle difficult light conditions and to get familiar with your camera controls and capabilities.

The way you have lit the scene is really lovely, Tim! Great composition, too!
