Il ponte Principessa Isabella attraversa il Po sulla direttrice di corso Dante. Fu costruito tra il 1876 e il 1880, su progetto di Ernesto Ghiotti. È costituito da cinque campate, con una lunghezza di 160 metri e una larghezza di 12 metri. L'espansione urbanistica, che interessò la città a metà Ottocento, coinvolse anche i borghi di Dora e di Po, comportò la costruzione della prima cinta daziaria, avvenuta tra il 1853 e il 1858 e rese necessaria la realizzazione di nuovi attraversamenti del Po. Il ponte Principessa Isabella fu costruito, per rispondere a questa esigenza, tra il 1876 e il 1880, in corrispondenza dell'attuale corso Dante. La commissione giudicatrice scelse il progetto di Ernesto Ghiotti, che prevedeva una struttura a cinque arcate semiellittiche. L'eleganza architettonica del ponte è dovuta alla snellezza della struttura e al contrasto cromatico tra il mattone a vista dei timpani e i rosoni bianchi, realizzati con la stessa pietra del rivestimento delle arcate e delle pile. L'apparato decorativo, era completato dai parapetti e dai lampioni in ghisa, sostituiti nella seconda metà del XX secolo. Il ponte è dedicato a Isabella, principessa di Baviera (1863-1924), che sposò Tommaso Alberto Vittorio di Savoia-Genova nel 1883.
