Il seguente progetto fotografico, "Finding myself", si pone in relazione con quella metafora dell'analisi interiore, che, personalmente, sento come una tematica interessante e parecchio stimolante: protagonista principale è, qui, come in altri miei lavori, la soggettività frammentaria dell'uomo, l'ambiguità del proprio essere e la remota incertezza e inquietudine che accompagnano l'uomo per tutta la vita. Dal punto di vista formale, quella del bianco e nero appare come una scelta di stile. Esso alimenta l'atmosfera di mistero e poesia che riveste l'intero portfolio. I toni risultano, in genere, forti; a volte, si addolciscono, cercando, comunque, di creare sempre un dialogo, attraverso i contrasti, tra il bianco, il nero e il grigio dominanti. Le inquadrature hanno tutte una loro geometria: a volte, risultano simmetriche, piane, sezionate; altre volte, profonde e solide. Quasi volessimo inscrivere la complessità del mondo all'interno di tonalità, forme e volumi ben definiti, per darci la certezza di riuscire a comprenderla. Impresa assai ardua che, ancora una volta trova una soluzione, ai miei occhi, nel mistero, nella metafora fotografica, nell'inquietudine: dunque, ecco l'uomo che si cerca dentro se stesso, rinchiuso in una solitudine che logora l'animo tanto quanto lo arricchisce della sua stessa conoscenza. Da notare, in particolare, è il fatto che la storia, che si cela dietro questi otto scatti, ci viene presentata attraverso dei gesti, con inquadrature sempre dello stesso particolare: le mani. Queste, infatti, magari non saranno, come gli occhi, "lo specchio dell'anima", ma sono comunque "il nostro biglietto da visita", nonché la parte più espressiva del nostro corpo, insieme al viso.
