Una delle entrate del palazzo. Pietro Accorsi, nato a Torino nel 1891, vive sin da piccolo nello stesso palazzo di via Po con la famiglia, che qui lavorava con mansioni di portineria. A 11 anni sembra si manifesti per la prima volta la sua vocazione per il collezionismo quando, durante un'asta, vende i suoi libri di scuola per acquistare il suo primo dipinto. Poco tempo tempo, grazie all'aiuto di sua zia, comincia un'attività di compravendita di opere d'arte e ben presto, a soli 20 anni, riesce ad affittare un appartamento del palazzo di via Po. La sua attività si fa sempre più frenetica e comincia ad essere conosciuto nel mondo del collezionismo, anche l'amicizia con il principe Umberto di Savoia contribuisce ad aumentarne la fama. Nel 1935 viene mandato dal principe per svolgere le trattative per l'acquisto della collezione Trivulzio a Milano. Mussolini però vieterà lo spostamento della collezione ed Accorsi, in cambio, ottiene il "Ritratto d'ignoto" di Antonello da Messina e la seconda parte delle Très belles heures miniate da Jan van Eyck, oggi entrambe al Museo Civico di Palazzo Madama. Intanto Accorsi aveva comprato per la sorella Paola una bella villa a Moncalieri, oggi rivenduta, ma da cui provengono molti arredi che furono poi trasferiti nella Fondazione. Divenuto ben noto per il suo gusto raffinato, verrà chiamato ad arredare le case dell'élite industriale più in vista di quegli anni tra cui le famiglie Agnelli, Olivetti, Abegg, Crespi, Fossati Bellani, Tedeschi e altre. Nel 1956 acquista finalmente l'intero palazzo di via Po e qui abiterà fino alla morte.
