Sontuosa e completa la cappella di san Benedetto (chiusa al pubblico sono riuscito a scattare attraverso l'inferriata del cancello nell'unica posizione possibile con un appoggio di fortuna), col mausoleo della duchessa Margherita, scolpito ai primi del Settecento da Giuseppe Gagini. La purezza del marmo di Carrara contrasta con lo spettacolare drappo nero dello sfondo. Dei Gagini sono anche le quattro statue di santi benedettini nelle nicchie angolari: tra cui, bellissima, quella di Santa Gertrude.
