In questa sala i nobili cortigiani attendevano di essere ricevuti dal re. Questo ambiente era una sorta di salotto maschile, un fumoir, detto anche "sala del caffè" perché qui, dopo pranzo, gli uomini di corte si riunivano per prendere il caffè, fumare e discutere di affari. La decorazione riprende i temi dell'arte della guerra. Dal bellissimo pavimento a mosaico alle vittorie alate sulle pareti, fino ad arrivare al soffitto dipinto dove si trovano riquadri che propongono episodi tratti da opere omeriche e virgiliane, si è avvolti da un filo conduttore epico ed eroico, che culmina col busto in marmo di Vittorio Emanuele II, primo re d'Italia.
