Il complesso architettonico di Galliano è costituito dalla basilica di San Vincenzo e dal battistero di San Giovanni ed è una delle testimonianze più significative del romanico lombardo. Secondo la leggenda la basilica fu costruita sulle rovine di un antico tempio pagano attorno al VI secolo d.C.. Tuttavia la prima documentazione certa risale alla sua consacrazione avvenuta nell'XI secolo, quando ne era custode Ariberto da Intimiano che ne curò anche l'abbellimento e l'ampliamento. Successivamente abbandonata e sconsacrata, la basilica di San Vincenzo è tornata all'antico splendore grazie ad accurati restauri. Conserva un prezioso ciclo di affreschi dell'XI secolo.'Il battistero, probabilmente costruito anch'esso nell'XI secolo, conserva al centro dell'edificio la vasca battesimale ad immersione ricavata da una grossa macina di epoca romana.
