, 1/800 f/11.0, ISO 3200, hand held.

Fabio Hello and welcome to the forum !!! :-)
The insect that you photographed it might be a oreina speciosa, but I'm not quite sure.
The picture is not bad even if the next time try to be more parallel to the subject of the order to have clarity on all the insect. It also seeks to take on it the focus that, in this picture, it seems to have been anticipated in the first half of the basil leaves. The closure of the diaphragm is fine;-) The ISO does not have them inserted but perhaps you could increase it a little.
If you like this genre, if you can, use a tripod and remote release to avoid, among other things, the blur.
That program PP (post-production) uses? I see a lot of digital noise in the background that you resolve whether you use, for example, LightRoom or Photoshop.
A greeting!
Michela

3A
1) although it has Photoshop (and other programs on gender), I'm not very practical for which to me is a bit 'like shooting blindfolded in a maze ... (not that no bandages is better xD)
2) As for me I prefer the photos to the natural, and therefore they are the least possible change ...:-)

In my opinion it is the Crisolina American, a beetle that eats the leaves of rosemary, lavender, thyme, sage and some other related plants.

It 'a person very small (less than 10 mm) and metallic reflections: is a specimen rather difficult to photograph.

I agree with the technical tips, and, as regards the post production, considers that this should not necessarily disrupt a photo, but it helps to alleviate some flaws (the noise and lack of sharpness) products right from the camera's sensor, which, in Actually, it is able to resume a scene "natural", but must reconstruct (for example adding colors ...)

Hello Fabio, I still! :-D
I predict a papirone but let me add something to what he has already said Mauro properly on PP. Many of us taking in RAW and then the development in clear room (so you define meaning the process of developing a file that essentially requires a PC and a program PP) is not an option, but a necessary step. Once, with the analog, was developed in the darkroom today it is done using just a program of post production. If you shoot in .jpg format you remember that the development of the file takes place directly in the car. So even those who say "I do not do post production" or like you said
I prefer the photos to the natural, and therefore they are the least possible change
actually says something incorrect: the PP has done already his camera;-) Adopting the parameters preset by the developers of the software inside the camera used. That said, I consider it right when someone speaks of PP as "non-natural picture" where the intervention of the author is aiming to make the most of his shot set rightly the essential parameters of a photo. It is true that everyone is free to use the PP as it sees fit and those who, with a simplistic term, we can define "excesses" sometimes result in photoart ie an interpretation that moves away from the "real" and ranges in areas of expression (sometimes but not always) more intimist and divorced from objective view of the subject. Are choices of personal taste that can be like that or not but, in my opinion, should not be denigrated however. Personally, I am inclined to use the PP it arrives to excess.
There is; a beautiful definition of photography that I love very much and who willingly carry:
"The photo does not show the reality, shows the idea that he has." (Neil Leifer)
In this sense, personally, the PP helps me to better express the "MIA" reality and how my eyes have interpreted it, felt, lived. In the age of digital technology and the PP (now in room clear and yesterday we said in the darkroom) are means indispensable to express ourselves in photography. :-)
I'm not very practical for which for me is a bit 'like shooting blindfolded in a maze ...

We all started so; learning is part of the evolution in any field. ;-)
Best wishes and good photos !!!
Michela

I thank you for all these tips !!
Maurow First thanks for calling (or so it seems =)) this particular subject unknown to me =)
Michela I can not give you that right, in fact my comment was more referring to "excesses" and those who, as you yourself have said, I am defined photoart, certainly very beautiful to behold (I do not say I can pleasure indeed) but not I find them responsive to my idea of ??photography ...
having said that I want to emphasize that I did not mean to define the image of post production "unnatural", mmm how can I explain, is a difficult concept to write without it can be read with shades different from those that I have in my mind, we say that although as you rightly say, the reality is relative (as filtered by our eyes) from Alter side is absolute in the sense that it has its "essence" (or if you want to find another more suitable noun ...;-)) that is independent from the eye that observes it, and I'd love to be able to catch and show (Obviously, here we are at the limits of utopia:-D) precisely that essence, that which does not change in spite of the extremely relative vision of the human eye ... are aware of the limitations of my statement (precisely very utopian :-D) but that would be my goal ... =)
having said that I'll try to use the PP to try to "improve" the photo above about the "defects" as pointed out Maurow ...:-)
Greetings to all and thanks for your valuable advice !! :-)
