I colori li ho aggiunti successivamente. All'epoca non era come oggi, non c'erano mille telecamere, riprese, fotografie, moviole varie. Così, quel fotogramma in realtà era sfuggito a tutti.

Other men, other sporting morality, the interests were there even then, how not. There was a lot of money for the champions, but the block of the gregari let's say that served as a contour for many reasons, not only performance. Cycling has always been a mass sport, often monitored with precision by doping control bodies, and in the past embarrassing cases have been uncovered (see Armstrong). But why after so many years? For money my friend, for the usual profit above all.
The photo captures an iconic moment of our most important exponents of the pre- and post-war period. Excellent pp. Bravo!!!!
Bye gios ;-)

Excellent photo and very interesting explanation. The samples of the past much more natural than the current ones that seem more and more prepared in the laboratory :-o .
