Anche a Prato, che ha una comunità cinese molto cospicua (c'è chi dice la più numerosa d'Italia ed addirittura qualcuno parla di primato Europeo, ma sono solo parole), la sfilata del dragone è molto sentita, pensa che - oltre a tutti i riti religiosi e etnico-sociali, che si protraggono per 15 giorni circa - la sfilata vera e propria avviene in tre date, 2 il sabato (mattina e pomeriggio) ed una la domenica che è quella che attraversa la parte delle città denominata Chinatown per terminare nel centro storico d alla quale partecipano gruppi (anche occidentali fra l'altro) che vengono da ogni parte d'Italia, così come i fotografi.
