Buone ombre a tutti.. (e non quelle di vino, zio!) :) #maschere #carnevale #sguardo #red #ombre

I have to admit that captions so full of interesting descriptions of moods related to photography techniques are not found in the forum and who if not Vale could face them together with a fantastic shot made with great attention to detail. I am of the opinion that the
masks we wear are used exclusively to relate to others for fear of not presenting our ego, but we do not understand that the neighbor wears the same mask to relate to us, so is it a carnival? No, that's the way we are, we need the mask, by the way, I don't remember which mask I wore 8-)
Congratulations Valid for the lesson :-)

Good evening, thank you very much for the passage and the appreciation.. Very happy you liked it! A good evening :-)
Agata, thank you very much.. and thank you even more because you gave me the title for a photograph I'm working on :-) .. If I can save it :-D
Prof, thank you and I'm moved :-| .. Anyway you're right, they are also needed, but when we start not to (re)know each other anymore it's a big problem. I'll tell you, you got the one from "Scooby-Doo, where are you?", I can have the one from Cousin Itt from the Addams Family, I'd love to :-D

beautiful image and a beautiful thought dear Vale, a warm greeting and good shadows to you... (I wouldn't even disdain the wine ones, as a good Veneto :-) ;-) )

A beautiful title and then an excellent and participatory caption provide a very particular and at the same time deep and engaging key to reading the shot. A very intense and heartfelt photo on the theme of the mask understood in a metaphorical sense and which manages to convey all the sensations well described in the caption. I find it original, very well thought out and equally very well made. Very good proposal indeed, congratulations Vale.

Finding the right balance between dark and light: too much light is bad too! Even the dosage of the masks must be balanced, otherwise when you use the one of everything is fine and then everything collapses you risk displacing those in front of you and at that moment they do not have the right mask to understand you! Over the years I happily realize that you need fewer and fewer masks because you no longer care about the façade you show and you can also afford to use the face you see in the mirror. Walking in silence in silence to disintegrate the too dark of the soul! with this shot you have perfectly made the idea hello Renata

Good morning Valentina.
The photo is extremely fascinating and evocative, I really like it.
As far as the caption is concerned, my personal thought always leads me to imagine the three Mizaru, the three wise monkeys, "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil".
Life is like that, you just have to don't identify too much with it.
Best regards

Maybe the mask, most of the time, does not hide a "less beautiful" part of us, but stems the torment of a remorse, the anguish of a regret, a pain that must be hidden, a pain that cannot be said or, perhaps, simply the bitterness of an uneasiness, which has surfaced in discovering oneself to live a life that no longer belongs to us or that, Worse still, it has never been ours...
In this, sharing Stearn's reflection, the portrait of a mask investigates what one wants to hide, everything one wants to keep quiet about..., it is a bit like a revealing mirror.
It is no coincidence that the great Eduardo De Filippo called the mirror: "... the uncouth one, the one who speaks to his face..."; while the immense Charlie Chaplin called him his best friend, because, he said: "... When I cry, he never laughs...." Good things, Alberto.

Congratulations Vale!!
Looking at your photo I had started to think about it... that nothingness beyond, accentuated by the blurred!!! then I read what you wrote and with satisfaction I said to myself .... So I'm not alone in thinking about it!!!
Nice story
