La foresta di Laurisilva non si manifesta solo con intricate selve impenetrabili di difficile accesso ma è possibile apprezzarne pure una tipologia molto più elegante sulle isole delle Azzorre. L'area è caratterizzata da alberi secolari di laureo distribuiti su di un altopiano a picco sul mare, trovare queste condizioni è assai raro in quanto occorrono alcuni fattori non sempre presenti tutti assieme, venti degli Alisei che soffiano da nord, formazione di nubi a ridosso dei promontori e la giusta pressione atmosferica al fine di far "strabordare" le nubi come in una sorta di cascata dal versante nord verso quello sud, in quel preciso istante se la giornata è serena la luce filtrante regala momenti magici all'interno della foresta. Ti ringrazio vivamente Simone sono felice che tu abbia apprezzato! sicuramente per questo genere di ambienti e manifestazioni atmosferiche occorre molta pazienza e dedizione, studio non solo della morfologia ma pure della metereologia e del microclima, giorni interi ad osservare se i cambiamenti meteo volgono al meglio.. La foresta di laurisilva ancora oggi dal periodo del Pleistocene sopravvive su alcune isole grazie al clima caldo umido, i banchi di nuvole/nebbia giocano un fattore chiave per la loro sopravvivenza, senza tali condizioni tutto questo in poco tempo scomparirebbe, quindi ritengo indispensabile sotto il profilo documentativo/fotografico immortalare l'ambiente con la presenza appunto della nebbia, un binomio che da tempo memorabile garantisce la vita di tale habitat.
