Questo pensiero, che ho reperito tra le tante letture che faccio a proposito di fotografia, é riemerso in superficie mentre, ancora una volta, riguardavo le tue immagini quì sul forum. Visito molti autori, in questo sito così come altrove, é non mi é capitato che questa idea sia analogamente emersa. La spiegazione che mi sono dato credo sia contenuta nel modo in cui proponi il tuo sguardo nelle fotografie e in quello in cui componi le gallerie. Nel modo che hai, sempre parafrasando il pensiero di apertura, di rappresentare i luoghi di incontro degli sguardi. Quello tuo e quello di chi osserva. Posti ubicati con precisione, dei giardini ben confinati senza possibilità che si possa sconfinare con altre interpretazioni o idee personali. Le tue foto rappresentano una grande capacità di visione e propongono l'interpretazione soggettiva del mondo; niente di più ma neanche niente di meno. Non intendo dire che ciò sia poco.Tutt'altro. Vengono elogiate fotografie che evocano molteplici interpretazioni e, quando accade, lo ritengo giusto. Ancora più spesso si assiste alla produzione di foto dove la qualità, ed il messaggio della stesse, é tutto nella visione di chi guarda non nella mente di chi le propone. Questo lo ritengo un po' meno giusto. Ma la tua chiarezza espressiva non ricade praticamente mai nel primo caso; in modo assoluto accade che ricada nel secondo. La banalità non ti appartiene. La sintesi dello sguardo così come la proponi tu, mi pare rappresenti una qualità rara: la chiamerei "giusta eloquenza". Tutta dentro un fotogramma o tuttalpiù in una serie di fotogrammi. Sulla qualità degli scatti hai ricevuto migliaia di riconoscimenti, altrettanto per la tua grande creatività. Non mi soffermerò in tal senso se non per dirti che condivido integralmente gli attestati di stima che ti sono pervenuti. Ribadisco ancora, cosa meno rilevata, l'apprezzamento verso un linguaggio preciso, distinguibile anche tra mille voci e univoco nel'espressione ogni volta che vuole dire qualche cosa. Poi mi tolgo una piccola soddisfazione: amo scattare a colori e cominciavo a pensare che i "veri fotografi" scattassero esclusivamente in bianco e nero. Nel guardare le tue foto, che per la pressoché totalità sono a colori, finalmente trovo chi pensa a colori e trae da ciò grandi risultati. Siccome nessuno e perfetto, sento di dover fare qualche osservazione in merito alle foto dedicate all'archittetura (Expo di Milano) in particolare dove alcune scelte mi sono apparse un po forzate e poco in sintonia con la disinvoltura espressiva degli altri temi. Sul bianco e nero mi sono piaciute le foto fatte a Roma (galleria "un po' di Roma") dove hai posto lo sguardo, ancora una volta, nella giusta contrapposizione e oltre ogni ovvietà (io, ad esempio, avrei fotografato i manifestanti). Sulle macro che dire? E' manifesta anche in queste foto la tua caparbietà e la precisione con cui rappresenti il tuo sguardo. Sono sempre chiari i sentimenti che legano lo sguardo di chi vede la foto con quello che l'ha scattata, non vi é mai alcuna deroga all'interpretazione altrui e, sono convinto, nessuna discrezionalità interpretativa. Lo si legge anche quì nelle scelte compositive, nelle luci e persino nei titoli assegnati. Inviadiabile la tua capacità di giocare. Le gallerie "Funny Faces" e quelle del "Color Smoke" ne sono un esempio e al contempo rappresentano il fatto che, le occasioni non mancano mai al nostro sguardo, si tratta di non farsele fuggire. Sui panorami hai ricevuto così tanti apprezzamenti che non saprei onestamente cosa più aggiungere senza essere banale. Posso solo ribadire il valore del tuo sguardo e la capacità di porre la meraviglia tutta in un fotogramma. Ho dato anche uno sguardo ai corpi macchina che usi e le ottiche. Ho apprezzato l'ottima qualità delle scelte ma anche il fatto che non abbia, rispetto ad altre realtà, investito enormità in apparecchiature. E mi fermo davvero ora consapevole di rischiare la noia. Spero solo che in queste righe possa accogliere tutta la mia stima per la tua fotografia e, per quanto non ci si conosca, per la persona che intuisco ci sia dietro l'obbiettivo. Ti capitasse di scendere dai tuoi monti e decidere di varcare il Tirreno, sarei immensamente lieto di farti guardare la Sardegna. Qualcuno delle tue parti lo ha già fatto in passato e, come sono certo faresti tu, non si é fermato sulle coste. Ho lasciato tra le foto, quasi su tutte, i miei mi piace. Da tempo non commento ogni singolo scatto, solo in qualche caso lo faccio ma é raro. Preferisco esprimermi su una varietà di lavori e un esposizione di gallerie quando vi é la possibilità. In questo caso, e chiudo davvero, è stato un bel viaggiare. Con stima.
