Arco galactic sent on August 01, 2013 (23:46) by Cobarcore. 32 comments, 6422 views. [retina]

, 20 sec f/2.5, ISO 3200, tripod.

#NightPhotos #MilkyWay #Notturno #Stelle

Thanks to all participants! :-)

@ Fearless: the images are taken in rapid sequence on a tripod fixed, and the relative movement of the stars relative to the landscape was minimal. For this automatic alignment worked well. This was also my doubt before shooting, but I must say it is a "non-issue".

I would say that the result is excellent!
Continues to churn out high-quality pictures .....
I'm also starting to experiment in the overviews at night and to me the whole galaxy is much worse than yours, the stars in the galactic high-end above the arch appear to me strongly elongated in the horizontal direction, unlike those of your photos that are point- .
Use pictures to 180 degrees and then join in spherical panorama with Hugin ..... you have some advice for me?

Thanks Tessi!
I must say that it was not easy to be good bow. I have tried various sw and many settings before being able to find the right ones. In the end I chose the least worst outcome.
That problem you mention would depend on the type of projection, which I suggest you try to change. Hugin I've never used it, but I think I should have that option.

I join the congratulations of all!
I hope someday to be able to do a photo to this at least approachable.
Amateur astronomers at the bottom I do not like much, but it's a minor detail, as the eye goes straight on the arc of the Milky Way ;-)
