In quanto al viraggio, ti confermo che c'è del sepia e, unitamente alla leggera vignettatura (davvero la trovi marcata? L'ho ridotta parecchio...) questa scelta è stata adottata per dare allo scatto una certa connotazione...vintage.

Sono d'accordo con te infatti, se leggi quanto ho risposto a Caterina Bruzzone qualche commento più su, se l'imbarcazione fosse stata maggiormente angolata rispetto al soggetto, di sicuro la composizione ne avrebbe beneficiato.
Ma...trattandosi di uno scatto non ragionato e, appunto colto al volo, diversamente non ho potuto fare.

Non voglio parere saccente ma la street photography non si riconduce solo a situazioni che abbiano per forza una chiave di lettura....come da te identificata.
In questo caso si tratta di aver ripreso da parte mia una situazione spontanea nella quale un bimbo nell'espressione della sua massima vitalità compie un salto in riva al mare...chissà forse nell'intento di arrivare con il suo balzo a distruggere i resti di quel castello di sabbia accanto a lui.
L'imbarcazione non ha nessuna attinenza con tutto ciò e fa semplicemente parte della, chiamiamola, ambientazione dello scatto.
Dunque ti confermo che tra bambino-imbarcazione non vi è alcun collegamento logico.

Secondo me, il bello dell'arte, e quindi anche della fotografia, è che la compente soggettiva gioca un ruolo fondamentale, facendo a volte emozionare qualcuno per cose o immagini che ad altri non dicono assolutamente niente o sembrano addirittura brutte. A volte questo può essere un significato singolare che non tutti riescono a cogliere, o un'espressione tecnica particolarmente riuscita (un paesaggio ricercato, ad esempio) eccetera.
Quindi, per me, una foto diventa bella nel momento in cui mi fa riflettere e pensare, sia questo un qualcosa di bello o di brutto; nel momento in cui mi suscita un'emozione; e non è detto che la cosa valga anche per gli altri.
La tua foto l'ho aperta, più che altro perché il genere della street è quello che più mi interessa e mi aveva incuriosito il numero elevato di messaggi, anche considerando che in questa sezione le foto hanno in media una risposta, quando va bene (sto veramente poco sul forum e non ho tempo di guardare sempre tutte le foto, né tantomeno di commentarle... ergo, il numero di risposte poteva essere indice di foto bella e quindi l'ho guardata). Ma non mi è piaciuta, nonostante mi ci sia soffermato un po'. Poi mi sono messo a leggere i commenti e ho visto che tutti vertevano sulla bellezza del momento colto e sul tempismo di scatto. Ma io ci vedevo solo la foto di un pattino e un bambino di spalle, senza che mi trasmettesse niente (e qui la soggettività: agli altri piace, a me no ). Allora ho provato a dare un significato anche al contesto, cercando di vedere qualcosa che non fosse solo la spensieratezza di un bambino al mare. Anche perché la foto non mi diceva assolutamente questo, considerando pure la forte vignettatura, unita al bianco e nero, che di solito suggerisce un'idea di qualcosa di cupo, chiuso, triste, e non certo l'allegria di un bambino e la sua gioia di vivere. Inoltre, penso che l'effetto della vignettatura sia quello di enfatizzare il soggetto principale della foto, che però sta bene al centro e non su un lato. Non è una questione di regole di composizione, ma piuttosto una naturale conseguenza dell'oscuramento in maniera simmetrica degli angoli della foto, per cui l'occhio viene come invitato a focalizzarsi al centro del fotogramma. Dove leggevo "salvataggio", cosa che invece, da quanto mi hai risposto, non aveva nessuna attinenza col messaggio che volevi fa pervenire con la foto, ma anzi era semplicemente una delle quinte della composizione.
L'ho fatta lunga, mi dispiace. E di solito non mi piace stare a fare tutte queste analisi per le foto qui sul forum , perché per me le foto vanno solo godute. Ogni tanto, quando ho tempo come stasera, mi limito a scrivere qualche commento sul perché mi piace o non mi piace, ma cercando di non essere troppo prolisso. Ma dopo la tua risposta, mi sembrava giusto cercare una risposta un po' più articolata. E spero in questo modo di aver risposto anche alle osservazioni sull'interpretazione di street

So come le vorrei, ma non ci riesco ancora a realizzarle. Quindi non vedo perché postare cose di cui anche io non sono soddisfatto e di cui so cosa c'è che non va. Secondo me, sul forum vanno messe foto di cui uno è contento, così le eventuali critiche non possono che aiutare a migliorare. Stai certa che, preso dall'entusiasmo nel vedere che con qualcuno in questo forum si può ancora parlare schiettamente di fotografia e si possono esprimere le proprie opinioni liberamente, ripasserò volentieri con calma a lasciare altri segni nelle tue gallerie che ho già affrontato velocemente e in cui ho intravisto qualche foto interessante...

Ma ti devo una risposta più approfondita sulla vignettatura e poi vorrei fare ancora una considerazione personale grazie anche agli interventi di Lorenzo Pardini (mi trovo molto sulle sue considerazioni in generale).
La vignettatura la trovo troppo "Decisa", nel senso che mi sembra troppo vistoso il divario di confine dalla parte completamente opaca alla sfumatura che si perde nel cielo (vedi soprattutto nell'angolo in alto a dx).
Non mi riferivo all'estensione della porzione di immagine che occupa... Spero di essermi spiegato comprensibilmente...
Poi ti vorrei segnalare che gli interventi di Caterina e tutti gli altri, li avevo letti (leggo sempre tutto prima di scrivere, perché se qualcuno ha già espresso un'opinione simile alla mia è inutile che io intervenga... Quanto odio le sfilze di commenti con scritto "c'è del rumore", "Quoto per il rumore", "Anche per me, bella foto, ma rumorosa", etc...Ma non basta che lo scriva uno una volta sola?)...
Capisco che si tratti di una foto "Al volo" e per questo possa avere dei difettucci più facilmente di foto studiate a tavolino... Ma io guardo appunto la foto, non guardo se è fatta al volo o è studiata... E non guardo neanche chi ne sia l'autore, o almeno faccio in modo che questo aspetto non influisca mai su ciò che penso dell'immagine...
E questa,come immagine, a prescindere da questi aspetti, la leggo come ti ho scritto nel primo intervento...
Ultima cosa... Su cui concordo pienamente con Lorenzo...
E te la dico solo perché mi sto appassionando al dialogo scaturito in questo topic, dove stiamo parlando veramente di fotografia, e la cosa mi piace molto...
Alcune delle tue immagini mi piacciono e non mancherò di venirtelo a dire...
Altre no. Ma questo, ed è ciò che leggo nell'intervento di Lorenzo, lo trovo normale.
Proprio perché non commento in base a chi è l'autore, ma in base alle immagini che vedo, è inevitabile funzioni così...
Uno dei miei fotografi preferiti in assoluto in questo sito è Luigi Piccirillo.
Ad occhio e croce sono innamorato di 4-5 sue immagini e me ne piacciono altre 20-30, ma poi basta...
Grazie per la pazienza e per avermi dato la possibilità di esprimermi.
Non è una minaccia, ma visto che mi hai dimostrato di essere aperta alle critiche, quando avrò modo di commentarti altre immagini in un'accezione tendente al negativo, non mi dilungherò più con scuse e ringraziamenti come questo, ma mi esprimerò in maniera diretta, come sono solito fare.
