When Mexico loses its colors sent on June 06, 2013 (1:38) by Michela Checchetto. 31 comments, 1921 views. [retina]

at 135mm, 1/1000 f/6.3, ISO 400, hand held.

Dear Theorem,
I very much agree on your eloquent and profound considerations about the harsh reality of the life of this young child who unfortunately has known too soon its bitter taste.
Congratulations once again have created a symbolic image and of great interest

Thank you, thank you very much!
Best wishes:-P

I like a lot, even if against the rules of the classical portrait in this case, the photo has a really communicative power and that involves much more than the beholder!

Not only in Mexico, but the whole world sometimes loses its colors, and too many times we are indifferent to this, I hope to document these moments serve as a reminder to everyone.
Photographing beautiful things is easier but freeze touching moments is deeper.
Brava Michela, a greeting, Mauro.

Dear Mauro you said some things, unfortunately :-(, very true and I am pleased that this step has also aroused before your comments not merely aesthetic / photo.
Sometimes, when you are faced with certain realities are really very shame in taking .... at least that happens to me.
I particularly successful in certain parts of Africa and India.
There are certain images that I carry in memory and before that in my heart that I did not have the courage to take it up with my camera.
Also on this trip, although Mexico is not alive the extreme conditions of poverty in the two countries mentioned above, I had some chances of shooting that I wanted to use because I seemed to be disrespectful to certain situations .... to people.
You're right some shots I think they are moredeeper than others and often much more difficult than others and I know that you understand what I mean by the term "difficult."
Thank you so much and I salute you dearly.

You said it all very well in your caption!
Splendid testimony of children (too many) forced to live ... without colors!
Best wishes, Paul
