Fishermen...

La vita sul molo

Fishermen sent on February 17, 2024 (3:33) by Fabio Ponso. 188 comments, 1307 views. [retina]

, 1/1000 f/2.8, ISO 160, hand held. Samae San, Thailand.

#Pontili #Mani #Black #Stella #OnTheRoad #Star #Celeste #Less #MezziDiTrasporto #MondoDentro

A friendly and cordial smile that gives serenity.
Nice scene, well shot and excellent story.

Apart from the technical perfection, impeccable and with little or no pp (am I wrong?), the smiling faces of these peoples stand out throughout the gallery. That is a rare commodity today. You did very well to grasp this aspect.
Buon we
Emanuele

Make no mistake, just a small increase in color intensity (not saturation), black, and contrast... working directly on the JPEG because they were really minimal interventions...

It's not hard to grasp it, people often smile here...

As I had already written to you, we, from afar, have the presumption, a bit romantic, that behind that smile there is happiness, satisfaction for one's state. Maybe that smile is due to the fact that for a moment he is the center of attention, the first actor, in front of the lens of his Western photographer friend, something that probably does not happen to him often in his life, made up of very hard work that leads him to stay for many days away from his loved ones. Maybe mine is just a pessimistic view or just a bit realistic. I hope I'm wrong but for once I wanted to try to stay a little more down to earth! Great image, as you have been accustomed to for some time now! Hi Fabio see you soon. ;-)

What can I say Fabio, the friends who preceded me said what I wanted to say too, they highlighted all the difference of how we Westerners behave in our stressful daily life by giving rare smiles as opposed to this guy who shows us his serenity.
Congratulations on the photo ;-)

I think a difference is not so much in the level of stress, or at least not only, but in the way of managing that stress... ;-)

Congratulations for the photo realization

And this is obviously the thing that pleases me the most... :-)
Thank you very much Loris.

The children of the sea. This expression can also be attributed to the Apulian fishermen who come to Corfu for prawns and to the Strait of Sicily for the rest. Fishing is a human and universal story. Bellissima la tuo foto

Children, like the colors of the sea, have many similarities in every part of the world. Happy Sunday Fabio

I totally agree with the universality of fishing... and on the name that can actually be attributed to every fisherman regardless of nationality and place where he practices his profession... ;-)

Bellissima il tuo foto

:-)
Thank you very much Jancuia.
